Together in God’s Word 02/22/11 • Reflections from the One Year Bible / by Stanley A. Parker

Mark 6:5-6 (NLT)
[5] And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. [6] And he was amazed at their unbelief.

Wow!!!!

It doesn’t say Jesus WOULD not do any mighty miracles because of their unbelief

it says Jesus COULD not do any mighty miracles because of their unbelief!

Yesterday I read and reflected on the story about the woman with the blood disease and it was clear that her faith released power from Jesus apart from His consciously wanting to!

Today I am reading that a LACK of faith can hinder Jesus from doing what He otherwise would have done and quite possibly even WANTED to do!

Faith releases the power of God to be experienced!

Lack of faith limits the power of God to be experienced!

That means there is NO middle ground!

No neutral!

Either my faith affects

or

my lack of faith affects!
